Staff-Sergeant W.L. Mearns BEM

In a period extending from 4 April 44 until the present time this soldier has worked long and arduous periods, sometimes from sixteen to eighteen per day under very trying conditions. All his duties, including detailed and accurate compilation of requirements for the fighting troops, were carried out in the most exemplary and efficient manner.

His fine work and untiring devotion to his many duties inspired all personnel associated with him.
