Action for which recommended -

For a display of self sacrifice while under enemy fire.

This British Officer when in action on 2 June 1944 at (..illegible..) near MYITKINA, without hesitation and regardless of his personal safety, went out into an open field under very heavy enemy fire to dress the wound of a senior Gurkha Officer. Having dressed the wound he personally, unaided, brought the Gurkha Officer back to safety.

His action, self-(..illegible..), was an inspiration to all.
