This officer was in command of the two forward platoons in the road block on the KYUSANLAI PASS 30 May - 3 June 1944.
His spirited defiance of the enemy was a fine inspiration. He took up position in the front line, personally grenading the enemy and inflicting casualties at each assault, and supervising the manoeuvring of Bren guns to meet each new development. Though under heavy mortar, grenade and small arms fire his cheerfulness and nonchalance were a splendid encouragement to those under his command.
Near NAGUSHAPAWNG on 22 July 1944 he joined the forward platoon and personally directed the grenade discharger to evict an enemy machine gun.
In all engagements Captain Wilson-Jerrim immediately proceeded to the scene of firing and by his personal behaviour inspired confidence in those around him.
