This African NCO has been outstanding ever since the Column entered BURMA. His courage, initiative, cheerfulness and fighting spirit has been an inspiration to all ranks. In all engagements he has moved among his sections under heavy fire, steadying and encouraging them.
On May 1st he personally attacked a bunker position in thick jungle, with hand grenades, probably putting it out of action; he always volunteers for any patrol or operation for which he has not been detailed and has great influence for good on Europeans and Africans alike.
